In the Middle Ages, you could often see torches hanging from castle walls to enlighten the spaces. This Terzani Antinea wall light is a modern version of those torches and fits nicely in every modern day castle. This torch is made from twisted steel and glass and surely earns its spot amongst Terzani’s top products.
The steel pipes, which form the ‘grip’ of the torch, are hand-bend. Even more craftsmanship is needed to create the glass shade. This is made of mouth blown Murano glass. According to history, the glass industry on this tiny, Italian island started in 1291, when Venetian glass blowers were forced to move there, because of the risk of fire. Up to now, glass forms the most important industry on Murano.
The included halogen bulb creates a bright, white light. The tempered Murano glass spreads the light enjoyably and diffused. Its shapes and size turn the Terzani Antinea into a stylish element for large spaces with a rustic character. There’s also a smaller version of this wall light and a floorlamp, so combining is certainly an option.
Like already said, this is the largest version. With a height of 70 centimeter and a weight of 5 kilogram, this is quite a big wall light. Terzani Antinea comes with an included 100 Watt halogen bulb.
