Inspiration is often lurking inside the most ordinary things. That's how designer Dodo Arslan came up with the idea for the Anish while playing with his daughter. He became fascinated by the unending reflections spoons create with their convex and concave surfaces.
He took the idea back to his studio, picking up a little extra inspiration from the Italian tableware designers Sambonet along the way. Hey presto: the Terzani Anish hanging lamp was born!
You could describe the Anish as a pendant lamp made from a collection of spoons that are stitched together, ranging from the smallest teaspoon to the largest tablespoon. The spoons’ convex sides all face inward, towards the circular LED light source. The light is then beautifully scattered in all directions.
