Muuto was founded in 2006 by Peter Bonnen and Kristian Byrge. The name Muuto was not chosen by chance. A quick glance in the dictionary tells us that “muutos” is Finnish for “new perspective”. This clearly sets out Muuto’s objective: new perspectives on Scandinavian design. And the company succeeds with flying colours. Despite its young age, Muuto is already very well-known for providing fresh, lively designs at affordable prices.
Muuto lighting immediately catches the eye due to its fresh appearance and high degree of flexibility. A beautiful example of the simple and colourful designs is the Muuto E27 pendant lamp. Choose your favourite cable colour or combine different colours and… voila! Or what about the Muuto Unfold? This lamp is made of rubber and is actually folded together in the box. It can’t get any more flexible. As you can see, each Muuto lamp is full of surprises.
Muuto lighting in your home makes it cheerful and colourful. Take Scandinavian design, known for its honest raw materials and elegance, and you immediately recognised the house style of Muuto. Designers, such as Mattias Stahlbom, Jens Fager and Form us with love, are also imbuing their designs with a new twist adhering to the Scandinavian design. Take a look at the product range and indulge yourself with a trip to the Nordic countries.
