Art deco

With the Ginger, Joan Gaspar has designed a unique lamp collection for the lighting brand Marset. This light may remind some people of the art deco style which flourished during the 1920s and 1930s. However, contrary to expectations, the Ginger was only designed in 2014. With its round shape and subtle light, it is a beautiful tribute to that popular style trend.

Wooden lampshade

The Ginger features a striking wooden lampshade. Wood is generally a rather difficult material to shape and hence it is not used very often in lighting fixtures. Joan Gaspar has succeeded in creating the perfect lampshade with a combination of wooden sheets, paper, resin and a high-pressure press. The moderate slope of the lampshade results in a discreet, indirect light distribution. The lampshades are available in two different wood veneer types: oak and Wenge wood.

Innovative technology

All the lighting in this collection may have an old-school look but their underlying technology is anything but. Thanks to modern LED technology, these lights are very economical. They are also dimmable, which makes them even more user-friendly. The Ginger is an attractive lighting fixture that creates a cosy ambience, one which stands out without being too intrusive. The collection consists of various wall lamps, pendant lamps, floor lamps and table lamps.
