Floating bubble
The Kartell FL/Y, with its transparent lampshade, looks a bit like a floating soap bubble cut in half. It is made of methacrylate and is available in no less than 14 different colours. This makes the FL/Y an exceptional pendant lamp and one of Kartell's most sought-after lighting models. It fits perfectly above the dining table or in the bedroom.
Imperfect sphere
The FL/Y lampshade is not a perfect hemisphere: it is cut a few centimetres below the diameter, so that it can capture the maximum amount of light. The special transparency of the lampshade creates a light effect that makes it look even more like a soap bubble. The colour of the light that is dispersed depends on the colour of the lampshade: with an orange lampshade, you get a warm orange glow. You can also easily change the brightness of the light thanks to the built-in dimming function.

The FL/Y is very distinctive in all its simplicity. The combination of the coloured, translucent lampshade and the visible incandescent light bulb creates a unique feeling. This pendant lamp looks best when suspended above a dining table or in the living room.
