Gubi Semi Ø47 Pendant Black

Award winning The elegant Semi pendant lamp with its distinctive arched hood and light design was very popular in the 1980s. At that time, the best-selling Danish designer product and was eventually recognised worldwide as a design icon. In 1968, this design won the two architecture students Claus, Bonderup and Torsten Thorup, the first prize in a School of Architecture contest in Copenhagen. Geometric The two designers liked to be inspired by geometric shapes, such as circles, triangles and squares. For this classic, the inspiration was quarter circles from which the fixture takes its name. If you stand directly in front of the lamp and look at it, you will see that the lampshade fills the space between two opposing quarter circles. Ideal for tables The Semi pendant lamp provides a diffuse cone of light that is ideal above a dining table or worktop. The white inside of the lampshade, which serves as a reflector, in combination with a bowl mirror lamp, emits a completely glare-free light, which covers a large surface area due to the wide opening. So, the Gubi Semi is both elegantly aesthetic and also advanced lighting technology. Models The collection includes pendant lamps in various finishes, from classic matt white on vibrant metallic finishes and gleaming colours. This diversity allows fans of elegant designs to integrate it easily into an existing interior. Sizes The chic Semi pendant lamp is available in three different sizes.
