The name ‘Caravaggio’ may sound familiar to you. In fact, this pendant lamp is named after Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, an Italian Baroque painter. This artist specialised in showing the contrast between light and dark. In keeping with this, the Caravaggio by Fritz Hansen Lighting is available in various light and dark variants.
The Caravaggio’s design is immediately recognisable owing to the typical conical lampshade. The finish is quite modern: a monochrome, matt metal exterior without too much embellishment. The soft-looking, rather feminine lampshade contrasts with the sturdier chrome elements and the textile cord finishes off the whole. The lampshade is open at the top and bottom, so that the light is dispersed in both directions. The result is a stunning, high-quality pendant that adds value to any modern interior.
The light intensity of the Caravaggio can be regulated manually. This functionality makes it particularly easy to adjust the atmosphere in the room according to your activities. A brighter light for when you are working or dimmed light when you want to relax: it's all possible. This model is available in different colours: white, black, light grey, and dark grey.
