American design and Italian production The best of American and Italian is combined in this amazing Flos Wan wall or ceiling light series which was designed by an American designer working in Italy, named Johanna Grawunder. Johanna was born in USA, but moved to Italy to finish her education, and apparently, found her inspiration there. She first started creating unique pieces, but then she started working for many great companies, including Flos. Japanese Bowls This Flos wall/ceiling light gets its name from its shape. ‘Wan’ is Japanese for bowl and these lamps do look a bit like the bowls in which you get your food served when going to a Japanese restaurant. This round shape gives the lamp a bit of a retro design.
