Flos Tatou Table lamp White

Elegant The Flos Tatou T1 is an elegant table lamp, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Flos in 2012. The Tatou collection combines a traditional dome-shaped shade with a creative way to let light through and diffuse it. The armadillo Tatou is French for armadillo. The name refers to the scales on the skin of the animal, which we can see in the pattern of the shade. In the beginning the lamp was designed as a Japanese armour: metal buckles united cleverly with tape to create a powerful, emotional look. Later in the design process the design was simplified to make mass-production possible. However, Flos still wanted the lamp to keep its artisan character. Ambience The Flos Tatou collection is all about ambience. All models cast the same marvelously diffused light. By using two diffusers, the light only spreads softer. To make sure this graceful table lamp fits into every interior, Flos made it available in three colours: white, black and ochre-grey. Love the look, but not really looking for a table lamp? The Flos Tatou is also available as a floor lamp and a pendant light. Technical info Both the internal and the external diffuser are made of polycarbonate. The support and base are from painted steel. The Tatou lamp is equipped with a standard E27 lampsocket. The Flos Tatou has light output of 980 Lumen. With its IP-value of 20, it can only be used indoor.
