Timeless

Flos Arco is no ordinary floor lamp. Its majestic arch, solid, marble base and round, chrome shade make this lamp an eyecatcher, no matter in which interior. Still, it's a timeless design, regarding the fact it's designed in the early 60's by Pierre Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni.

Street lights

For this floor lamp, the Castiglioni brothers, started with one basic idea: "Design requires observation". In this particular case observation has led them to street lights. The characteristic arch, which they borrowed from traditional street lanterns, made it possible for them to enlighten objects which were two meters away from the lamp's base.

Hanging floor lamp

The distinctive design of the Flos Arco combines the functionality of a pendant light with the stylish interior touch of a stately floor lamp. The base consists of solid marble, which makes the Arco stand firmly. The designers were clever enough to realise their marble based lamp would be difficult to replace, so they left an opening in the marble foot. This way, with a broom stick and a helping hand, the Arco could still be moved relatively easy.

Technical details

The adaptable arch consists of stainless steel and the shade is made of aluminium, all durable materials. This version of the Flos Arco was launched to celebrate this iconic lamp's 50th anniversary and uses an LED light source instead of the original incandescent bulb. Make sure you have enough room for this beautiful lamp, because with its dimensions of 2,40m (height) and 2,20m (span), the Flos Arco isn't put away easily.
