The Flos 265 is more than just a lamp. In fact, you can never classify it as one. Instead, it’s better to call it an architectural design because that’s what it is. It’s a well-thought-out, beautifully designed lighting system with a very-easy-to-use mechanism and excellent lighting ability.
The man behind Flos 265 is none other than the world-renowned designed Paolo Rizzatto. Before he started his own brand, Luceplan, in 1978 he designed lighting for other brands, like Flos and Artemide. In this Flos 265, he incorporated various architectural elements such as adjustable steel for the arm and chrome for the brass reflector. The cast iron counterweight keeps the lamp in the desired angle.
The wall-mounted lamp has a long arm, which can allow you to focus the light to a particular section only. This becomes handy when you’re working on something intricate, perhaps an architectural model or a plan, or when you don’t need vast amounts of light when in the living room or in the library, reading your favorite book. It is also an excellent space saver, not to mention a great potential décor for your home.
Available in white, grey and black it can complement any wall color. The lamp is IP20 and so can only be used indoors. The 265 measures 160mm in length, 850mm in width, and 2005mm in height.
