Meet Petite Friture: contemporary designer lighting with a playful touch and an eye for detail. At dmlights, you can now discover the most popular collections of this French design brand. We provide a few words of text and an explanation of the brand and their inspiring fixtures.
Petite Friture was created in 2009 by Amélie du Passage. The carefully selected elegant materials contribute to a modern and contemporary design. All Petite Friture lamps have a unique and distinct character. The attention paid to the contours of each design is reflected in the various collections of the brand.
Perhaps the most famous collection of Petite Friture is the Vertigo. Not surprising, because it is almost impossible to forget this fascinating design by Constance Guisset. Despite its large size, this lamp perfectly succeeds in creating an intimate atmosphere in both large and smaller spaces.
The Vertigo seems to float in space. It moves with every airflow, and creates a beautiful shadow play on the walls.
The Cherry hanging lamp is a sleek design lamp with a minimalist design. And the cherry on the cake? The glossy sphere at the bottom of the lamp, which totally finishes the lamp off. Thanks to the plexiglass on the bottom, the Cherry spreads a beautiful diffused light, transforming every room into a cosy space.
Does this hanging lamp remind you of the classic ice-cream sundae with a cherry on top? This is what inspired the designers, Daniel – Emma, when designing this minimalist eye-catcher.
Inspired by the apparent weightlessness of laundry draped over a Mediterranean balcony, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance designed this collection consisting of elegant hanging lamps, wall lamps, table lamps and floor lamps. To achieve the same lightness in his design, he draped a perforated metal sheet over a slim pendant fitting.
The perforated pattern in the metal shade ensures the light not only shines downwards but also playfully illuminates the entire room.
For the design of the Lanterna hanging lamp, designer Sam Baron was inspired by the typical shape of the well-known Chinese lantern. When you turn on the lamp, the light is reflected by the golden interior, creating a warm atmosphere in your home.
The successful combination of aesthetics and functionality makes the Lanterna a simple yet unique interior object with a distinct identity.
The designer of the Aura hanging lamp, Tomas Kral, used materials for his design that can be found in the office. The lampshade is made of mesh steel with a matt finish, making the lamp lightweight while still radiating finesse.
The holes in the metal lampshade provide a playful and diffused light effect. At the top, this unique hanging lamp is finished with a subtle but stylish brass element.
A versatile light with a unique design, that’s how we can best describe the Tidelight. The lamp is made of mouth-blown glass, which means each one has a slightly unique look.
Does this Tidelight remind you of the headlights of a car? This is precisely what designer Pierre Fabresse used as his inspiration for the design. The thick, textured glass enhances the light diffusion, which ensures a warm and cosy light effect.
