Designer and architect Arne Jacobsen is regarded as the driving force behind Danish modernism. So it’s not surprising that, for this lamp collection, he has opted for an elegant, organic design which is so characteristic of the well-known artistic trend of the 20th century. Characterised by a minimalist and modernist design, this traditional Bellevue lighting fixture is also extremely functional.
Central to the concept of the Bellevue is the combination of tradition and innovation. The Bellevue combines characteristics from the 1930s with contemporary features. One of the most striking features of the Bellevue is the lampshade, which is cut off at an angle of 45°. This unique shape creates a focused, direct light distribution, without too much glare. The lampshade flows over into a slender, mobile gooseneck. The Bellevue can be flexibly turned in all directions, making it perfect for use as a reading lamp or as office lighting.
The Bellevue collection includes three types of lighting fixtures: floor lamps, table lamps and wall lamps. The fixtures are made of a combination of polished brass and painted aluminium. Different coloured models are available: ivory-white with brass, grey-beige with brass, and black with brass.
