With the Goggle luminaire, the designer Ross Lovegrove designed a small wall covering which shines light through its iridescent film. The colour variation offered by Goggle is extremely simple yet highly unexpected, making it a wonderful example of perfectly disguised, highly-developed manufacturing technology, hidden behind confidence-inspiring, organic shapes. Goggles design does not change; the colour changes depending on the angle from which the luminaire is viewed. The in-mould manufacturing process makes the iridescent film, which causes the changes in colour, an integrated part of the polycarbonate diffuser.
