Inspired by old lanterns, the Foscarini Cage has a simple lambent body which is placed in a decorative cage. The lamp finds its roots in the lamps used by miners and workers, enveloped in a metal cage for protection. In Cage, this element turns into a decorative element, with an irregular structure. Diesel’s interpretation combines the contrasting metallic grille of this irregular structure with an inner brilliant diffuser, giving the lamp a particular appeal.
