The way forward
In 2014, Mia and Torben Koed, the founders of WOUD, decided to put their 30 years of experience into a new project. Time for change and a new challenge. The challenge was to start an ambitious design label from scratch with quality materials and an eye for the small details.
With an ambition to create new work of their own, they based the WOUD collection on the idea of looking forward rather than backward and sharing their love for honest design. From this vision, WOUD is always pushed to discover and develop new ideas in form, functionality or choice of materials.
Five divisions in one coherent whole
From the very inception of WOUD, the vision was always to have five divisions to make your home a home. Since launching in 2015, they thus built a collection of furniture, lighting, accessories and textiles.
In 2018, they finally succeeded in bringing down an outdoor collection as well, making it their fifth and final division. In short, a brand that can bring peace to your entire interior with a contemporary look.

WOUD's mission is simple. They create timeless design with great attention to quality, simplicity and honesty. Designs made for its users and to use.
Their vision is also crystal clear. They want to share their love for honest design. At the Danish design label, they believe that timeless design can express personality, evoke feelings, inspire people and make the environment beautiful.
