Artemide Eclisse AR 0028010A
Anyone who is looking for a table lamp that will always be in style should get the Artemide Eclisse. This lamp with extra-terrestrial inspiration was first launched in 1967 by Artemide, but its popularity has never waned. It was originally designed by the innovative Italian designer, Vico Magistretti.
Function and form
This lamp is the epitome of functionality and form. True to its name, it can ‘eclipse’ the light source so that it provides either partial or total diffusion of light. This is by rotating the inner shade of the lamp. It can be used as a bedside table lamp or as a desk lamp. It emits both diffused incandescent light and direct light.
Vico Magistretti was a pioneer of modern lamp designs. The Artemide Eclisse lamp has received the Compasso d’Oro award. Its design has also earned it a place in several museums throughout the world, including the Denver Art Museum, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Montreal and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Artemide Eclisse is 18cm high, with a cut-out width of 12 cm and a base diameter of 12 cm. It requires one 18W halogen bulb, and its voltage is around 230V. The lamp itself is made of lacquered and painted steel. The Artemide Eclisse is available in four colours, namely orange, silver grey, red and white.
